There is a long history of pro-feminist men's activism in countries around the world. As part of this advocacy and education work, some groups and networks have produced newsletters and magazines. This XY collection is an archive of key English-language pro-feminist men's magazines.
XY itself began as a printed magazine, that I founded in 1990 and edited for seven years. You can read more about XY's history here.
This archive includes the following:
- Achilles Heel (UK, 1979 - 1999): issues 2 to 28
- Changing Men (USA, to 1994): issues 14 to 27
- Voice Male (USA)
- M. Gentle Men for Gender Justice (USA, 1979 - 1984)
- XY: Men, sex, politics (Australia, 1990 - 1997): (A few issues are missing, but I'll add them soon!)
Because the files are too big for XY's internet system, I have instead provided links to the Dropbox folders for each magazine. If you have additions, please send them to me via email.
