The 27th Annual Men and Masculinities Conference of the American Men’s Studies Association will take place in Brandon, Manitoba at Brandon University June 12-14, 2019.
The Conference theme is “At the Boundaries of Ourselves: Masculinities & Decoloniality” though proposals are accepted on other topics and from all disciplines concerning the critical study of men and masculinities.
Individual paper and poster abstracts should be 250-300 words, and must include 4-6 keywords. Panel proposals will need to include a 250 word abstract of the panel, and 150 word abstracts of all papers proposed. Abstracts must be submitted by February 15, 2019. Email your proposal to: conferenceamsa@gmail.com. Those who submit paper, poster and panel proposals will be notified of the status of their submission by March 15, 2019.
Pre-Conference Workshop proposals should center on professionalization that will assist students and scholars with their future careers in and outside of Academia. Those proposing workshops can either apply for three-hour pre-conference workshops or one and half hour conference workshops. See/download the full “Call” below for more specific information
All individuals invited to present must register for the conference no later than April 15, 2019. Failure to do so will result in removal from the conference program. All conference participants are expected to conform to AMSA’s Expectations for Appropriate Conduct.
